The Organization: EcoSecurities structures and guides greenhouse gas emission reduction projects from beginning to end, working with project developers and buyers of emission reduction credits around the world. EcoSecurities' Global Consulting Services (GCS) division has been at the forefront of all the significant policy and scientific developments in the climate change field, including corporate carbon management strategy development, carbon market development, and greenhouse gas market forecasting.
The Partnership: The experts at EcoSecurities GCS partnered with GlobalGiving to develop a new approach to measuring the quality and impact of climate change mitigation and adaptation projects, which helps donors better understand the impact of their donation. EcoSecurities GCS evaluated GlobalGiving projects on their ability to mitigate climate change while also improving social, economic, and environmental conditions throughout communities worldwide.

The Organization: The David and Lucile Packard Foundation is a private family foundation created in 1964 by David Packard, cofounder of the Hewlett-Packard Company, and Lucile Salter Packard. The Foundation provides grants to nonprofit organizations in the following program areas: Conservation and Science; Population; and Children, Families, and Communities, for a wide variety of activities including direct services, research and policy development, and public information and education.
The Partnership: The Packard Foundation is interested in exploring and enhancing the link between development and climate change, and has supported the development of GlobalGiving Green, a site that allows donors to find projects that both support grassroots development and fight climate change.
